INTERNATIONAL Cricket Council chief executive Haroon Lorgat has slammed the appointment of banned former Pakistan captain Salman Butt as a television pundit during the World Cup.
The governing body has asked the tribunal chairman if his employment by Pakistan's Urdu language Channel 5 contravenes the terms of his ban for spot-fixing.
The 26-year-old said he could see no reason for the ICC to object. ''It does not come under their jurisdiction,'' he said.
